They study combining Moderna's vaccine

Moderna's vaccine will be included in the federal study to evaluate the combination of doses in the same scheme of drugs against the coronavirus that are applied in Argentina, the Ministry of Health reported.

The research evaluates the immunogenicity and safety of the use of two different doses of vaccines against the SARS-CoV-2 virus, and compares heterologous and homologous vaccination schedules, the Health portfolio indicated this afternoon.

The objective of the study is to have national evidence for decision-making based on the analysis of immunogenicity and safety of the use of different doses in the same scheme of the vaccines available at the moment in the country: AstraZeneca, Moderna, Sinopharm and Sputnik- V.

The trial also compares the results between heterologous and homologous vaccination schedules.

The Minister of Health, Carla Vizzotti, said that "they have defined incorporating the Moderna vaccine in the studies that seek to determine the safety and immunity in the combination of vaccines."
