Doctor in march no pass, 'insulted because vaccinated'

Luigi Garavelli explained to ANSA that he had intervened, at the request of an acquaintance, to provide scientific explanations to the demonstrators (ANSA)


He was not at the demonstration on Saturday against the green pass, in Alexandria, to support no vax positions.

, explains the reasons for his presence to ANSA: "I only intervened, at the request of an acquaintance, to provide explanations. And when I said I was vaccinated, and like me my wife and my in-laws, and who I consider vaccination to be one of the many fundamental tools in the fight against Covid, have been overwhelmed by whistles and insults ". During the heated confrontation with some of the demonstrators, Garavelli continues, "I got angry and intervened more decisively, bringing elements from the scientific community".

His participation had sparked a storm

The president of the Medical Association of Novara, Federico D'Andrea, had made it known that he was "evaluating whether the conditions for a disciplinary action exist and if necessary we will open proceedings". "The vaccine is a very important tool with which health professionals can guarantee against Covid and, consequently, also guarantee citizens - added D'Andrea - and the green pass fits perfectly among the measures that can be adopted to contain the pandemic ".
