For

Berlin

, a DWD spokeswoman reported in the evening of up to 50 liters of precipitation per hour on one square meter at around 7 p.m. in Buch and 40 liters in Marzahn.

Operations would be processed with priority, there could be waiting times on the emergency number 112.

In total, there were around 250 weather-related firefighting operations on Sunday evening, as a spokesman said.

The main triggers were therefore flooded cellars and flooded streets.

At Berlin Airport (BER) in Schönefeld, Brandenburg, there were numerous delays in the evening, and the departures were jammed.

The German Weather Service had also warned many districts of Brandenburg. Occasionally trees could be uprooted and roofs damaged, cellars and streets could be flooded as well as brooks and rivers overflowing their banks. In Graustein in the town of Spremberg in the

Brandenburg district of Spree-Neisse

, according to the DWD, around 4 p.m. in the afternoon around 35 liters of rain fell on the square meter.
