(ANSA) - ROME, JULY 27 - The Bank of Italy aligns itself with the decisions of the ECB and removes the last limits and recommendations to non-significant banks, under its direct supervision, on the distribution of dividends and the re-purchase of shares starting from the end of September. In a note the central institute underlines "the signs of improvement in the economy". However, banks "will have to maintain a prudent approach in deciding distribution and share buyback policies" and not "underestimate the risk that" further losses "could result in the expiration of the support measures introduced in response to the Covid pandemic.
