The Coni Guarantee College rejected the appeal of Chievo Verona, which therefore will not take part in the next Serie B football championship. Cosenza will be rescued in place of the Venetians, who will therefore return to the cadets in 2021/22.
Chievo Verona has announced the appeal to the TAR, with a statement: "AC Chievo Verona takes note of the decision of the Coni Guarantee College and announces its intention to challenge this decision at the Lazio TAR to defend its rights, reiterating that he has always operated in line with current and federal regulations for registration in the Serie B 2021/22 championship ".
Coni also announced the exclusion from professionalism of five Serie C clubs: Carpi, Casertana, Novara, Paganese and Sambenedettese. Only the Paganese saw the previous outcome changed, thus being readmitted among the pros. For the others there was nothing to do: the appeal was rejected as for Chievo.
