(ANSA) - BERLIN, JULY 27 - An explosion occurred this morning in a chemical plant in Leverkusen, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany, causing at least one death among employees. Four others are missing, according to what is known by the Currenta company that manages the plant.
The causes are unknown for the moment but the inhabitants have been asked to keep doors and windows closed. Civil protection classified the event as "highly dangerous".
The wounded are at least 16, including 4 in serious conditions, according to the city authorities cited by the broadcaster WDR. (HANDLE).
