The reviews make it clear where exactly it went wrong: Above all, the choice of the main character is criticized.
Many long-time fans associate He-Man in particular with “Masters of the Universe”.
This only plays a minor role in the series.
Instead, the makers focused on the heroine Teela

This is particularly annoying because the trailers for the series show many scenes with He-Man. At first glance, it is not even evident that Teela is tapping into significantly more "screen time". "I have nothing against a story that only revolves around Teela, but it would have been better
if the creators had clearly pointed out this fact,

Series maker Kevin Smith must therefore endure allegations of misleading. It should be noted, however, that there will probably be a second part of the series.
