It is not surprising that the capital Berlin, with over half a million people (607,750), has the highest number of Google searches for delivery services per month.

However, if you look at searches based on residents,

Frankfurt is considered the delivery service capital

with more than one in five people who google for take-aways every month.

Leipzig and Dortmund have the smallest inquiries of the top 10, in both cities there are less than 100,000 searches per month.

Florian Behrend, Senior Account Manager at

Savoo

, comments: “We at

Savoo

assume that the take-away and delivery service culture will continue to boom, even if the restaurants are open to the public. First, because there are many ways to save money, such as using discount codes. In addition, the delivery service has given consumers the opportunity to enjoy gourmet dishes from the comfort of their own home. Michelin restaurants have been made accessible to a wider audience, making this form of eating even more popular with people than before. We believe that the take-away culture will really change in favor of higher quality food offerings. Snack bars are no longer viewed as a fast food service, but should be expanded to include many other companies. "

Now, as we slowly move out of the pandemic, the question arises: How will the delivery service landscape in Germany develop?
