The salary of lawyers is impressive: They earn a third more than the average.
A current salary study reveals exactly how much.
"Hard work pays off" - law students among others should claim this for themselves.
Law graduates * start
their job
after their demanding and long studies with an average
gross
salary of
52,300 euros
. They benefit from the
third-highest starting salary of all professional groups in Germany
. That comes from the StepStone salary report 2021. They are only exceeded by medical students and industrial engineers who start their careers with an average of 59,500 euros and 52,800 euros. For comparison: the average entry stop for all graduates is around 45,400 euros.
“To start their careers, lawyers have completed a long and demanding course of study, during which they have acquired special specialist knowledge.
This applies in particular to the legal profession, for which a two-year legal traineeship is required in addition to the two state exams.
This is reflected in the high starting salary, ”explains StepStone salary expert André Schaefer.
