The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research announced today the provision of 50 scholarships and 35 academic seats for the undergraduate and postgraduate levels “Master’s and PhD” in Egyptian universities for the academic year 2021-2022.
Submission of applications for those wishing to participate in the comparison of scholarships and study seats begins according to an announcement by the ministry, a copy of which SANA received from Monday 8/2-2021 until Thursday 8-12-2021 in the Ministry’s Single Window Directorate.
The ministry indicated that Egyptian universities offered 5 scholarships, 20 academic seats for the first university level, 45 scholarships, and 15 seats for postgraduate studies (Master's and PhD), in the various specializations available in them and according to their approved acceptance rates.
The obligations of the Egyptian side for scholarship students only, according to the announcement, include providing university housing according to the available capabilities and a monthly salary of 125 Egyptian pounds, giving the new student a one-month grant upon his arrival, and one month’s grant annually in return for the price of the prescribed textbooks, and exempting him from tuition fees except for fees for services, which are paid in Egyptian pounds. Similar to Egyptian students, medical treatment is provided in case of sudden illness in public hospitals. A student who has successfully completed his studies is paid a graduation allowance upon returning to his country equivalent to a month’s scholarship.
