The National Director of Epidemiology of the Ministry of Health of the Nation, Analía Rearte, warned that in Argentina
"there are still no cases of Delta
without travel history, but we are going to have them."
Along these lines, he reported that there are currently
"45 Delta infections from travelers
and about 15 close contacts who were cohabiting and some non-cohabiting."
He also assured that there is still
"no community circulation"
of the strain that worries the world and added: "The prevention measures managed to delay the entry of the Delta variant and put the focus on completing the second doses in August."
He then referred to the announcements made this Tuesday by Minister Carla Vizzotti and said that "they are to deepen the path of having all people vaccinated."
