Five facts about ice cream ("Do not miss" system)

There was a time like this, you probably remember (or repress), when all we cared about in life was making ice cream at home.

True, there was a global epidemic all around, and anyway all we did in those months was eat, but something in cracking the cold and sweet secret made us truly believe we no longer needed Golda's showcases.

To the delicious Instagram page of Walla!

The food

of that period has passed (seemingly, we are not so repressive), but the crave still remains, and with it the constant aspiration to do something light, nimble, and sweet at home of course.

Oh, and if possible, then let it come without so much condensed milk, and in general without political implications and mentions to Ben & Jerry's, okay?

And how good it is to have the New York Times Outstanding Cooking Section alive.

Ice cream in a New York Times glass

A post shared by NYT Cooking (@nytcooking)

The recipe - if you can call this thing a "recipe" at all - the very viral that went up in the New York section a few days ago did not show melting and stimulating pictures, and did not go down to almost requested porn ice cream.

Instead, he chose to illustrate himself to our hearts.

Yes, illustration.

And what an illustration.

One Mason Jar, four layers of ingredients and two stages of preparation.

Actually, it's not an illustration, it's more such a drawing of children asking you to connect dots.

Still, how does it work?

Put into the trendy jar (maybe a little too trendy already, no? You can rebel and use any other jar, photogenic or not) one cup of sweet cream, a tablespoon and a half of sugar, the same amount of vanilla extract, and a little salt.

Close the lid tightly and then shake vigorously for 5 minutes, until the cream thickens to something reminiscent of a brownie batter for example, and almost doubles in volume.

Freeze for three hours.

This.

not seriously.

This.

That is, bye (Photo: Giphy)

Want textures? Nuts will work wonderfully, and so will chocolate chunks, snack chips of course, or anything else crunchy that will alleviate the monotonous boredom

This base recipe will give you a basic, creamy and well-textured base ice cream, with a pronounced vanilla aroma and without too much sweetness. This is great in itself, and from here you can of course go wild in any direction you like.

The New York Times suggested, for example, adding berries (or even jam, why not shorten the way a little more) inside before freezing, or a teaspoon of peanut butter and a bit of chocolate syrup, if you are in the business of this wonderful sweet-salty combination.

What more? A teaspoon of lemon juice and a little honey, together with half the amount of sweet cream heated with two teaspoons, will give you a wonderful and slightly more sophisticated tea ice cream. Want textures? Nuts will work wonderfully, and so will chocolate chunks, snack chips of course, or anything else crunchy that will alleviate the monotonous boredom.

Arrogant like you? One tablespoon of olive oil inserted will both maximize the creaminess of the cream and also soak up the rainbow of flavors so much higher that they will have to send you medals from Tokyo.

Everything goes, and we do not judge.

This amazing recipe drew, as expected of course, more than 65,000 likes and over a thousand comments, most of which probably deal with just one thing.

"Shake 5 minutes? How the hell am I supposed to do that? I was accepted to the Olympics?", One respondent wondered at the sound of his friends' online applause.

"When you put it this way, I understand why I got fat recently. I actually need a glass of sweet cream every day," complained another surfer, while another cheerleader chose to look at the practical side of the matter, warning that "so many people are going to break up now. Their jars in the freezer. "

We wrote down everything, the comments and alerts and tips, but mostly the recipe.

Will we meet another 3:05 hours with jars in hand?
