Coronavirus: a man who returned from abroad infected 12 people with the Delta variant in Córdoba

From the Ministry of Health of the Nation it was reported that the Epidemiology Directorate of Córdoba reported a case of Delta variant in

a traveler from Lima,

Peru.

And that among his contacts,

12 more cases

were detected

and another positive of coronavirus of which the strain is still unknown.

The traveler had arrived at Jorge Newbery Airport on July 19, with a

negative PCR

prior to the flight and another negative test upon entering the country.

Of the 13 cases related to it, and which were analyzed in the Central Laboratory of Cordoba, in a dozen the Delta variant was confirmed, while

the remaining strain

has

not

yet

been identified

.

The Cordovan authorities indicated that they continue with the epidemiological investigation to

identify other contacts

who should remain in isolation.
