If you are interested in proper nutrition and a healthy kitchen, you must have noticed that recently a new star has reached everyone's story and life - oatmeal.

Oatmeal is a flour made from the grind of oats - yes, that simple.

Gluten-free (be sure to purchase the gluten-free package if it is important to you) and contains other healthy nutritional values such as calcium and iron.

Oatmeal contains dietary fiber as well as protein so it helps stabilize the structure of pastries and also helps us to soak them longer.

In other words, this is a trend that is very worthwhile to adopt and upgrade our diet easily.

See it everywhere.

How to use oatmeal?

Make pastries -

Oatmeal has a delicate nutty taste and blends wonderfully with a variety of pastries. Oatmeal can make the texture of pastries softer, provided you add the right amount of liquid. Oatmeal absorbs more fluids than regular flour.

It does not contain gluten so it is not suitable as a single flour for the preparation of breads and challahs (unless it is a dedicated recipe). On the other hand, it is very suitable for the preparation of muffins and cakes in the senses, provided that you have consulted with the recipe maker in order to adjust the rest of the raw materials.

Correct conversion ratio -

In the first step, try not to convert flour in a particular recipe into oatmeal.

Use recipes that incorporate oatmeal originally.

If after a period of baking you feel confident in your familiarity with oatmeal you can try and make substitutions in recipes that were originally composed for wheat flour.

Start by converting 25 percent of wheat flour to oatmeal and check if the texture is to your satisfaction.

Pay attention to the quantities.

Use weight -

when replacing oatmeal with wheat flour convert it by weight and not a measuring cup. The weight of oatmeal is lower than wheat flour, replacing a cup with a cup may cause the amount of flour in your recipe to decrease.

Baking tip - When

preparing at night based on oatmeal, let it stand for a few minutes before continuing to prepare. Thus, your oatmeal will "suffice" to absorb all the liquids and reach a texture that will serve you well.

Want to make oatmeal? Here are the steps that will help you do this: In a

powerful blender, grind 2 cups of oatmeal on high speed for about 40 seconds. Open the blender lid and mix the resulting flour (also to help it cool) Scrape it from the sides of the blender and continue to grind for another 10-15 seconds until you get a perfect flour texture. Store your flour in a completely airtight box in a shady, dry and cool source. If you want it to last more than a month or two, you can also keep it in the refrigerator.

In oatmeal you will find nutritional values from the entire group of nutrients.

In one cup weighing 155 grams you will find:

about 620 calories

about 27 grams of protein

about 100 grams of carbohydrate

about 14 grams of fat

about 10 grams of dietary fiber

about 223 mg of magnesium

about 6 mg of iron and 85 Mg Calcium on average

Now you have everything you need to connect to the trend, prepare and use oatmeal - Appetite
