Alarm for a fire at the Quilmes brewery plant


The fire started in a railway depot and affected part of the factory. It was already controlled and there were no injuries.

A fire was registered this Saturday in a sector of the Quilmes brewery plant, south of the Conurbano.

The fire would have started around 4 p.m. in a railway depot adjacent to the factory and reached part of the plant that occupies about two blocks, in Brandsen and Hipólito Yrigoyen.

The affected sector was "the filter press room, a place where there are usually no personnel providing tasks."

The fire, it was reported, has already been controlled, after the work of several fire crews.

The people who were working at the plant were evacuated, but

there were no injuries.

"We began to smell a lot of smoke. A lot of firefighter, a lot of movement. Since I'm in front of us we went out to see what was happening, we got here and found out that some plastic pipes that are on the tracks were set on fire and that would have taken part of the Brewery kitchen, "a neighbor told



"We are doing damage control," they told him from the company

"We will have it clearer when the firefighters leave the place, since they continue working, despite the fact that the fire is already fully controlled."
