The Ministry of Health of the province of Buenos Aires reported that it has registered 22 cases of coronavirus of the Delta variant in the district, although it specified that
there is
still
no community circulation
in its territory.
"In the province of Buenos Aires we have
22 confirmed cases and all with a connection to travelers,"
said the new Buenos Aires Minister of Health, Nicolás Kreplak, on his Twitter account.
In this context, the provincial official pointed out: "Much of the work to

According to the Buenos Aires Ministry of Health, 20 of the cases detected with the Delta variant "are international travelers (13 detected at the point of entry, 7 detected during follow-up in hotels)", while the other two cases are "due to
close contact
to traveler ".

In the City and in Córdoba
For its part, the Government of the City of Buenos Aires is conducting an "exhaustive investigation" after
two cases of the Delta variant
were confirmed in the Buenos Aires district
, which were not identified, for the time being, contact with people arriving of the outside.
"At the moment, they do not present evidence of an epidemiological link with a person who returned after a trip. Once this investigation has been resolved, it will be possible to determine whether there is
community circulation in the City,
" the Buenos Aires government said in a statement.
In addition, in the province of Córdoba, sanitary controls increased in the last hours after a man who arrived from Peru did not confine himself and infected at least
17 people
with the Delta variant of the coronavirus.
So far, there are just over 250 isolated, but the authorities warned that the number could increase and they track more than 200 people.
