The latest figures from the health authorities show that the epidemic trend is negative in the country.

The Delta variant has imposed itself in France and it does not leave the summer respite that the French could have hoped for a few weeks ago.

The latest figures published this Saturday evening by the health authorities show that the epidemic continues to grow in France.

The epidemic is progressing and the situation is tending to deteriorate in French hospitals.

Slowly but surely, the number of patients treated for a Covid infection is increasing in French establishments, and this for six consecutive days.

These are now 7,409 patients with Covid-19 who are treated in French hospitals, against 7,363 on Friday and 6,787 just seven days ago.

In the last 24 hours, 467 new admissions have been recorded in the country.

23,471 new infections in 24 hours

This degradation can be seen just as much in critical care services.

1099 patients suffering from a severe form of the disease were treated this Saturday evening in these specialized services.

They were 1072 Friday and 878 last week.

French hospitals have welcomed 91 new patients in critical care in the past 24 hours.

The epidemic continues to kill in France.

43 deaths are to be deplored in the last 24 hours.

If the number of deaths remains relatively low in the country, the trend is negative, with an increase of 81% on average over a week.

In terms of contamination, the latest figures from Public Health show 23,471 new cases in the last 24 hours against 25,309 on Friday and 25,624 seven days ago. The sliding average rises to 21,497 cases per day, but it is increasing less and less rapidly (+ 38.3% in one week).
