Fires: still burning in Catania © ANSA

(ANSA) - ROME, JUL 31 - Some fire outbreaks still active in the Ionian belt are being extinguished in Catania, between San Francesco la rena and Vaccarizzo after the fires that last night forced to evacuate about 150 people by sea and close for a few now the Fontanarossa airport.

The firefighters will still extinguish some outbreaks in the industrial area and in Adrano.

About ten interventions in progress and still about 170 interventions to be carried out.

Firefighters can count on 4 reinforcement teams this morning.

Two from Messina and Ragusa and two forest teams of the fire brigade.
