This was announced by the German NGO Sea Watch.

The landings in Lampedusa continue: yesterday another six from midnight, for a total of 99 migrants who arrived on the island.

But other arrivals were also registered in Sardinia and Puglia.

While two humanitarian ships, the Sea Watch 3 and the Ocean Viking are waiting for a landing port with other people recovered from boats in distress. The leader of the Brothers of Italy, Giorgia Meloni, harshly: "while the Italians are preparing to undergo new measures that limit their freedom - he accuses - our coasts are besieged by illegal immigration. It is there for all to see," but the minister Lamorgese remains helpless ".

In Lampedusa, Tunisians are still arriving in small groups on small boats. Over the last 3 days, over a thousand have landed and the hotspot of the Imbriacola district bursts with 1,137 guests against a maximum capacity expected for 250. Transfers to quarantine ships and other structures follow one another using also scheduled ferries, but the center from days is heavily overcrowded, with the consequent difficulties in maintaining compliance with the provisions against contagion from Covid. Landings continue to be registered on the southern coasts of Sardinia as well. During the night between Friday and Saturday small boats with 21 people on board were intercepted by the Coast Guard as they approached the coast of the island. 13 were instead blocked by the carabinieri atdawn after their small boat had landed on the beach of Porto Pino, in the territory of Sant'Anna Arresi. Ten, including a woman, were instead stopped as they were walking away from the beach, while another three were at the bar having breakfast. Another 17 arrived today on two small boats. Overall in the last 48 hours 71 have landed in Sardinia. The flow - with smaller numbers - then continues on the eastern Mediterranean route. Yesterday 13 Afghans, Iraqis and Iranians were intercepted on a sailing boat off the coast of Capo di Leuca, in Salento, by naval units of the Guardia di Finanza and the Port Authority. Once the health procedures were completed, the migrants - all men, with two minors - were transferred to the reception center set up at the Masseria Ghermi in Lecce. Finally, the Ocean Vikingyesterday morning saved 57 people who were on a dinghy in distress in international waters in the Libyan search and rescue area. Among the recovered 8 women, 11 minors and 5 children under 12, according to Sos Mediterranee.
