(ANSA) - BOLOGNA, 02 AUG - "The choice to be there, despite the parliamentary work that also requires my presence, the choice to be here today alongside each of you, the authorities and the victims, not only in a personal capacity, but in representation of the whole Government, is to testify to the need to listen again, so as not to disperse that indelible silence in the memory of those who have suffered the effects of that astrage - the victims, their families, the city of Bologna - in the knowledge that the splinters of that bomb have hit us everyone". The Minister of Justice, Marta Cartabia, said in a passage from his speech at the commemorations of the massacre at the Bologna station on August 2, 1980.

So, he argued, "we are here today, instead, to fully renew the memory and value of the people who have died, of those who have been torn in the flesh, of their families: we need a word that gives meaning to all of this and we need a word of justice ".

For this reason, Cartabia continued, "the State renews its most solemn and concrete commitment, to reach a more complete reconstruction of the facts that have marked a season of blind and destructive violence, of occult plots and misdirections. There can be no justice - he added - without the 'full assessment of all responsibilities. For this - he concluded - the work of the judicial authority continues ".
