The epidemic is also flaring on the other side of the Mediterranean.

Moroccan Prime Minister Saad-Eddine El Othmani announced on Monday the extension of the curfew from Tuesday to stem a resumption of Covid-19 cases in the country.

The curfew, which ran from 11 p.m. to 4:30 a.m., has now moved forward to 9 p.m., and will end at 5 a.m., according to the government quoted by Reuters.

The tourist cities of Casablanca, Marrakech and Agadir are confined, except for people with a health pass or those needing to go there urgently.

Limited gatherings

Gatherings in closed places are limited to 25 people, and hotels and tourist places must meet a 75% fill level, according to APAnews, citing a government statement.
