Epic Games is giving away a real indie game highlight from Thursday.
Every week, players at Epic Games receive free games.
In the last few weeks, fans of indie titles in particular got their taste for it.
This will continue into the next round of free games.
But this time players can expect a highlight that was not only well received by indie fans.
Epic free games with "A Plague Tale: Innocence" from Thursday
"A Plague Tale: Innocence"
is an action adventure with survival horror and stealth elements that was released in May 2019. It tells the captivating story of Amica and her younger brother Hugo, who have to flee from the soldiers of the Inquisition and a swarm of never-ending rats. The game by Focus Home Interactive and the developers of Asobo Studio was an absolute surprise hit, which was even compared to "The Last of Us". The gameplay itself does not offer any major innovations, but the rousing story of the protagonists quickly casts a spell over players. A sequel entitled “A Plague Tale: Requiem” * is also in the works for 2022.
The other free game is
"Speed Brawl"
, a 2D side scroller that is about building momentum and then using combos and special moves to take out numerous opponents.
"Speed Brawl" is a fun game with nice comic graphics for in between.
Both titles will be available
free of charge
from August 5th at around 5 p.m.

To receive the free games, you first need
an Epic Games account
.
You can also create this free of charge.
As soon as you have registered, log in with your details.
Then navigate to the Epic Games page for the free games.
There you click on the titles that you want to save.
Follow the instructions and the games will then be added to your game library.
At the moment there is “Mothergunship” and “Train Sim World 2” for free.
