Barack Obama turns 60 on August 4, but there is already controversy over the celebrations that the former president is preparing for next weekend.
According to reports Axios and The Hill would in fact be about 700 guests in the Obama summer residence on Martha's Vineyard island, in Massachusetts, in front of the city of Providence, an outbreak of the Delta variant. From the former president's staff they let it be known that guests, including George Clooney and Oprah Winfrey, will all be vaccinated and that the party will be outdoors. Meanwhile, the White House has made it known that Joe Biden will not be present.
