(ANSA) - WASHINGTON, 01 AUG - The American John Isner yesterday won his sixth title of the ATP tournament in Atlanta by beating the young compatriot Brandon Nakashima in the final 7-6 (10/8) 7-5, thanks also to 21 aces scored .


    Isner thus wins his sixteenth ATP trophy and joins Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic as active single players to win the same event six times. "I can't believe I succeeded. We'll see if I can do it a seventh time next year," said the 36-year-old, in his first final since winning two years ago on Newport grass.


    The Italians on the draw in Atlanta this year were AndreasSeppi, eliminated in the round of 32, and Jannik Sinner, out of the round of eight. (HANDLE).
