Jorge Lanata dedicated a

moving editorial

to Chano Moreno Charpentier (39), who continues to be hospitalized after being shot by a Buenos Aires policeman.

"A sick person and a criminal are not the same.

The police cannot shoot a sick person," said the driver of PPT Box this Sunday.

And he added: "By chance, they did not kill him."

At the beginning of his submission, the journalist and host of Periodismo Para Todos clarified that the program was dedicated to Chano, his brother Bambi (Gonzalo) Charpentier and his mother Marina.

"When someone gets sick, the group gets sick or at least

suffers the consequences

," he explained.

Lanata - it is known - was a cocaine user.

His word to Chano, who suffered an overflow from his addiction,

takes on another dimension

emotionally, but also personally.

Later, he expanded on the episode starring the former singer of Tan Biónica, who was wounded in the abdomen by a policeman after trying to attack him in a crisis due to his drug addiction.

Lanata criticized the mental health law,

targeted

the Buenos Aires Police and Sergio Berni

.

Chano is still hospitalized after being shot by a Buenos Aires policeman.

Lanata called Chano a "very talented musician, a great poet."

And he added: "You must imagine that the world is difficult for poets: the world hurts and one hurts."

In that sense, Lanata stressed that Chano is not a criminal.

"Everything is so done shit that sometimes you have to clarify obvious things:

a patient and a criminal are not the same

. The police can not shoot a patient," said the television and radio host.

He targeted the

mental health law

("It's

crap

") and criticized the intervention of the Police.

"It is a

delusion that the police intervene in these cases

. There should be a special, unarmed body that depends on the Ministry of Health."

He also pointed out the Buenos Aires force for

manipulating the first information

about the case: he accused her of "co-opting" the media story and claiming that they "came to the aid" after Chano supposedly had wanted to stab his mother, who had tried to intern him .

And he pointed directly to the Minister of Security of the Province of Buenos Aires: he said that

Berni "diverted the whole conversation to the Taser issue."

He recalled that, when he woke up, Chano asked for a cigarette and listen to the program that Lanata does on Radio Miter.

And he concluded with an intimate message that his daughter Barbara left the musician on his Instagram account.

"Wake up quickly, we have to go back to playing a little bit and I'm sad and nobody sends me singing videos", were the words of Barbara, with which the journalist closed his emotional editorial.

How the singer continues

Chano Moreno Charpentier passed his sixth day of hospitalization this Sunday at the Otamendi sanatorium.

"He's talking and he's doing better," said his mother, Marina.

"The energy of a lot of people and a lot of love came to him," the woman continued, in dialogue with Télam.

It is she who has accompanied her son since the singer was shot when he apparently tried to stab a policeman in the middle of an overflow for his addiction to cocaine.

Chano Moreno Charpentier, in an old interview with Jorge Lanata on PPT.

Due to the injuries, the musician underwent surgery and suffered the loss of the spleen, the left kidney and part of the pancreas.

"We are both better. The sun came out," completed Marina.

Officer Facundo Amendolara was charged with the case, accused of "very serious injuries", a crime that provides penalties of between 3 and 15 years in prison.

Now, the prosecutor Martín Zocca must define what day he will summon Chano's mother to testify.
