A woman died in a fire in a senior citizens facility in Bad Salzuflen, North Rhine-Westphalia.
According to the fire department, an oxygen device had caught fire in the resident's room.
Accordingly, two nurses ran into the room after a fire alarm and found the burning oxygen device.
Although the nurses put a blanket on the woman and initiated resuscitation measures, any help came too late for her.
The woman died in her room.
The two orderlies were slightly injured as a result of the operation.
The criminal police started investigations into the exact cause of death and the cause of the fire.
About 30 firefighters were on duty.
