At a time when vaccination against the coronavirus is slowing down due to the resistance of some sectors of the population, a forestry company in the north of Corrientes launched
a draw for cash
among employees who have been immunized with at least one dose.
Forestadora Tapebicuá has around 600 employees, of whom
only about 40% have been vaccinated so far
. The Human Resources Management explained that through the company's internal communication media they sought to provide information on vaccines, their safety and levels of protection they provide, but it was not enough for most of the employees to
agree to apply to the minus the first dose
.
From the firm, they said that they had noticed a strong resistance to being vaccinated and that led them to implement a cash draw among employees who bring their vaccination certificates to the medical service until August 20.
The first prize consists of 30,000 pesos in cash, but there will also be a second incentive of 15,000 pesos, and a third of 5,000.
In the company they said that not only misinformation or doubts affect the decision of employees not to be vaccinated.
"
The religious issue is also an important factor
: there are many religious who tell them that it is not necessary to apply the vaccine," they said from Tapebicuá.
In Gobernador Virasoro there are two vaccinations, but the delayed arrival of the vaccines makes
the vaccination rate
extremely
slow
.
"Some employees told us that two months passed from the moment they asked for their shift and when they were able to receive the dose," said spokespersons for the firm.
“In order to contribute to raising awareness about the importance of vaccines in the fight against the coronavirus pandemic, the company has decided to carry out a raffle among all personnel who as of Friday, August 20, are vaccinated (even with a dose ) and has accredited it by presenting the corresponding certificate to the medical service ”, says the call that the signature sent to its 600 workers.

The answer was immediate.
“Many people who were already vaccinated began to bring the certificate to participate in the raffle.
And we know of other people who decided to apply the vaccine
", they said from Human Resources.
Forestadora Tapebicuá is a leading company in the forestry-industrial sector.
The process that it carries out ranges from afforestation to the production and commercialization of products derived from wood.
The company has two sawmills and a compensated plant in the northern zone of Corrientes.
Most of the employees
are between 30 and 50 years old
and many of them crossed the interprovincial line to get vaccinated more quickly in the cities of Apóstoles and Posadas, company spokesmen said.
