(ANSA) - BEIJING, AUGUST 03 - North Korea has responded for the first time to calls from South Korea, officially reactivating the 'red line' of direct military communication and implementing the announcement made by both sides last week. Although both the western and the eastern ones had been technically reactivated, Pyongyang had not given positive signals for several days so far. "This morning, we called the North again at the appointed time via the international merchant marine network and received a response from the North," said a defense minister, quoted by Yonhap.
