The city of New York is preparing, first in the US, to request the vaccination certificate for entry into gyms and restaurants, both for customers and employees.
The rule that should be announced by Mayor Bill de Blasio, writes the New York Times, would be similar to the obligations introduced in Italy and France.
The pass - explains the NYT - should be introduced as early as August and, after a transition period, will definitively enter into force in mid-September, when schools will reopen and many workers are expected to return to Manhattan. The pass will be called 'Key to NYC Pass' and will also be required to enter cinemas and all entertainment and sporting events.
