(ANSA) - MILAN, AUGUST 03 - Nexi expands in Greece. Italian Lapaytech has signed a memorandum of understanding for the start of a strategic partnership with the AlphaBank group. The agreement provides for the spin-off of the merchant acquiring branch of Alpha Bank into a newco of which Nexi will acquire 51% of the capital for 157 million euros, which reflects an enterprisevalue of 307 million, to which can be added up to 30.6 million in the case certain financial objectives are achieved.
A long-term distribution agreement has also been signed, which will allow the newco to access the Alpha Bank network for the promotion and distribution of payment acceptance services to Alpha Bank customers in Greece.
