The payment service provider PayPal informed its customers about the abolition of a popular function.

The group cash register, with which several PayPal users set up a collective account, is particularly popular.
As the US company recently announced, this function will be completely eliminated on November 8th.
The "MoneyPool" service is about to be shut down.
PayPal: “MoneyPool” will soon no longer be available
"As of September 30, 2021, we will no longer offer the option of creating new MoneyPools and will gradually discontinue the service," announced PayPal on the website.
The "MoneyPool" -aus is supposed to enable PayPal to "concentrate more on specialized services for collecting money".
As early as September 30th, no new collective accounts can be created before the company removes the “MoneyPools” from the app and website from November 8th.
The existing amounts will be transferred to the PayPal account.
November 15th marks the last day on which the function is still supported.
PayPal discontinues “MoneyPool” - users have to do that now
The "MoneyPool" function is ideal for collecting money in a group.
In this way, birthday gifts or vacation trips can be financed clearly in a group.
From September 30th, customers will have to switch to other services in order to set up a virtual collection box.
On the company website, PayPal refers to the “PayPal.Me” service, which can be used to send a link to collect money.
Important: Before PayPal dissolves the “MoneyPools” by November 8th, users should note the names of the contributors to the collection box.
After the "MoneyPool" is closed, the list of contributors is no longer visible.
In order to get the money in a “MoneyPool”, action is not absolutely necessary.
PayPal transfers the money automatically to the PayPal account of the "MoneyPool" creator.
