Your year 2021 has so far not been a satisfactory one in terms of the well-deserved vacation?
You can look forward to 2022 and many well-placed holidays.
In some years almost every holiday falls on the weekend.
This means that it is not possible to take long days off and have more days off at a time.
2021 was such a year - relatively ungrateful for the location of the holidays in the calendar.
But the year 2022 lets you look forward to it!
On Ascension Day, the number of vacation days can even be quadrupled next year, as the Travelcircus portal informs.
The Bavarians, Saarlanders and Baden-Wuerttembergers have the best laughs:
With 26 vacation days submitted, a full 60 days off are possible
- if you plan your vacation around the holidays.

Nine out of 20 public holidays are celebrated in each state
Baden-Württemberg, Bavaria and Saarland celebrate most of the public holidays in Germany.
Only nine out of 20 German public holidays are cross-federal.
Corpus Christi, for example, is not a public holiday in Berlin and Hamburg and the Assumption of Mary is only celebrated in large parts of Bavaria and Saarland.
Especially at Easter, those who like to travel can enjoy 2022 to the fullest.
An overview of possible vacation scenarios:
Take eight days off and travel a full 16 days
: April 2022 makes it possible!
Anyone who applies for a vacation from April 9th to April 24th consumes eight vacation days, but can relax for 16 days.
June 2022 is also impressive with regard to the bridging
days
: Because
two public holidays (Pentecost and Corpus Christi
) fall on two working days (June 6th and 16th, 2022), it is worthwhile, from June 7th to 10th and again on Apply for June 17th vacation.
Note: Corpus Christi is only a public holiday in Bavaria, Baden-Württemberg, Hesse, North Rhine-Westphalia, Rhineland-Palatinate and Saarland.
At the end of the year you should take a closer look at October and November:
With four days of vacation, you can get nine free days each
.
You can either take leave from October 4th to 7th (October 3rd is German Unity Day) or apply for leave from November 1st to 4th (nine federal states celebrate Reformation Day on October 31st).
