(ANSA) - MADRID, 03 AUG - The traditional summer meeting between the king and the premier of the Iberian country is underway at the Palace of Marivent in Palma de Mallorca, the summer residence of the Spanish royal family.
The current president, Pedro Sánchez, was greeted by Monarch Felipe Vi shortly after 1.30pm once he arrived in Mallorca from Madrid after attending the Council of Ministers, according to the Iberian media.
Today's meeting, in which the king and the premier in office take stock of the situation on the main issues of public interest, is a tradition that is repeated every year over the days that the royal family is spending in Mallorca in August. This year takes place on the day of the first anniversary of the departure from Spain of Juan Carlos, reemeritus and father of Felipe Vi involved in various judicial proceedings for alleged irregularities committed in the past.
