In Berlin, a large group of armed people is said to have tried to break into a snack bar.

According to the police, a dispute about the corona rules preceded.

On Tuesday afternoon, emergency services were called to the snack in the Altglienicke district, the authority said.

According to the caller, dozens of people wanted to break into the business and threaten the employees.

The officers found about 25 people on site.

Police investigations revealed that a 19-year-old and a 20-year-old had entered the snack bar in the afternoon.

A 24-year-old employee pointed out the mask requirement.

The two responded with incomprehension and aggressiveness and hit the counter.

Attackers apparently fled

The 24-year-old is said to have pushed the two men out of the business with the support of two other 28-year-old employees.

The 19-year-old and the 24-year-old are said to have slapped each other in the face.

The alleged attacker duo then fled, but announced that they would return with a larger group of people.

A few hours later, an unmanageable group appeared in front of the snack bar.

Police witnesses reported that the men were armed with knives, alarm guns and pepper spray.

The employees had stepped in front of the shop to defend themselves against an attack.

They are said to have grabbed and hit the 19-year-old from the group.

When the police arrived, most of the group fled while the staff returned to the store.

Investigations into breach of the peace and assault

A little later, a man drove up in a car and asked for help.

The 19-year-old was lying in the back seat of the car.

He was unconscious and had injuries to his face.

The officers took care of the young man and an ambulance took him to a hospital.

When he regained consciousness, he reacted aggressively and did not want to give any information about what was happening.

An alcohol measurement showed a value of 2.6 per mille.

He was released after outpatient treatment.

The criminal police are now investigating the suspicion of a serious breach of the peace, the suspicion of simple and dangerous bodily harm and the violation of the weapons law.
