The Ministry of Education, the “National Center for the Development of Educational Curricula,” launched today the mobile application and the interactive book for the “Get ready for the first grade” guide, the extra-curricular activities guide, and issue 1 of the Syrian electronic educational magazine, the quarterly court.
The application and the interactive book allow children to possess the necessary knowledge, skills and experiences to facilitate their enrollment in the first grade, in addition to enabling parents and educators to enhance the experiences of children who are preparing to enter school through interactive activities, while the electronic magazine is concerned with publishing theoretical and applied educational research related to educational curricula and their applications, monitoring their quality and measuring their learning outcomes. Dr. Nadia Al-Ghazouli, director of the center, explained in a statement to SANA that the application includes an educational guide to help parents, the classroom teacher and the kindergarten teacher, and the second version is an activity book for the learner to work on applying the information. The socio-emotional curriculum, which was designed according to four axes: life skills, initiatives, vocational education, and projects through which the subject teacher can introduce these subjects to students.
Dr. Fida Mahmoud Sudan, Editor-in-Chief of the Syrian Electronic Educational Journal, indicated that the second edition of the magazine included researches dealing with educational curricula between education and higher education in the light of the knowledge society and mental alertness and its branches according to the variable of academic specialization, in addition to research related to the culture of peace in the content of the Syrian educational curricula and another on controlling The quality of the educational curricula developed at the center and its relationship to organizational communication and mental governance and a study of philosophical thinking skills in the philosophy curricula, explaining that kindergartens had a share of the magazine through the “Sevens” strategy with constructivist theory and its relationship in developing the concepts of sound and light among children in kindergarten.
The head of the Curriculum and Comparative Studies Research Unit at the center, Dr. Maher Ibrahim, explained that the project is the outcome of a year and a half of work, and that the launch of the interactive book and the mobile application of the project prepare for the first grade through the illustrated activity book provides a great opportunity for children who are not enrolled in kindergarten in a way that facilitates their enrollment in school, indicating that the center has used Painters and experts to prepare scenarios for pictures simulating the child through the picture to express his feelings and emotions.
Director-General of the Supreme Commission for Scientific Research, Dr. Majd Al-Jamali, indicated that the magazine, which is directed to those interested in the educational field, aims to direct scientific research for the purposes of developing and evaluating curricula and conducting research related to developing the educational process within the Syrian environment and modeling educational work to benefit from it in future applications, noting that the new issue fulfills an important requirement. To publish many researches specifically with his specialization in educational research.
