Good news for fans of "Sweet Tooth": Netflix has officially announced a second season.
The only question now is when will it continue?
In spring 2021, Netflix released two new fantasy series:
"Shadow & Bone"
and "Sweet Tooth" *.
The former was extended for a second season several weeks ago.
The fans did not find out at first whether it would continue with “Sweet Tooth” or not.
Netflix took time to answer, although the audience numbers within the first four weeks after the first season was released were significantly higher than for “Shadow & Bone”.
“Sweet Tooth” is considered to be the most successful Netflix series of spring 2021.
"Sweet Tooth": Netflix confirms the second season of the series
It would have been surprising if the series' streaming service had ended prematurely. We can now safely confirm that this will not happen:
“Sweet Tooth” is getting a sequel
. Netflix announced this in an Instagram video, among other things. The clip shows the main actors receiving a bar of chocolate. The words "'Sweet Tooth' Season 2" can be read on it.

was also able to pick up a few additional details: The second season is expected to
include eight episodes
, each
about an hour in length
.
In addition, the fans learn how the story of the stag boy Gus (Christian Convery) continues after he was caught by General Abbot (Neil Sandilands).

Now the only question that remains is when the second season of “Sweet Tooth” starts on Netflix.
Unfortunately, the streaming service has not yet released any information on this.
Since production of the sequel is just getting started, fans shouldn't expect it to continue this year.
New episodes are likely to appear
in spring 2022 at the earliest
- unless the corona pandemic or other circumstances cause delays.
