Hoteliers, restaurants and tourism service providers were used to receiving thousands of tourists in the City of Buenos Aires.
With the closing of the borders, foreigners no longer arrive in the country and the reality changed.
However, the Buenos Aires government, together with the private sector, launched
Super Viaje BA
, an initiative to attract Argentine travelers.
The program available on the website turismo.buenosaires.gob.ar/es/SuperViaje aims to boost the industry through
122 discounts
- including hotels and means of transport - for national visitors.
“With this new initiative we seek to put the tourism sector on its feet and we want tourists to choose us to enjoy Buenos Aires.
Undoubtedly, it is the sector with the most potential for the City and with a
joint effort
we will be able to recover ”, stated Gonzalo Robredo, president of the Tourism Board of the City of Buenos Aires.

from 3 star 4, 5 to boutique accommodation.
They can also choose from the discount they prefer.
They range
from 10% to 50.
Other benefits are interest-free fees,
family packages,
and a free night when two or more are booked.
In some cases the promotion is through a discount code.
Some of the hotels - today the maximum capacity in common areas is 50% - that joined this plan are NH, Howard Johnson Inn, Ker Urquiza, Intercontinental, among others.

as Pullman General Belgrano, Sierras de Córdoba, Ñandú of the south, Cruise North, Almirante Brown, Urquiza, San Jose, Via Bariloche, Flecha Bus, Chevallier, among others also offer promotions for trips to the city.
In addition, the Kinto and Awto companies joined with offers for those who want to move through the streets of Buenos Aires by car.
Awto is an application to rent cars.
The objective is to encourage visits during the next long weekend, due to the holiday of Monday, August 16.
The proposal remains open for
more companies to join the program.
