The Excellence and Creativity Authority announced today the results of the Scientific Olympiad for Youth in Mathematics and Science for the year 2021, which it held for students of the seventh and eighth grades of basic education from various governorates.
The authority crowned all the students participating in the final qualifiers, according to a statement, which SANA received a copy of, in which it stated that the students who got the first ten places and won the gold medals are the students in the mathematics major: Suleiman Muhammad Ibrahim from Latakia, Hassan Muhammad Wahbi from Homs, Mahmoud Muhammad Barbasht from Aleppo and Youssef Maher Habib from Lattakia and Ahmed Abdel-Moneim Ahmed Alo from Aleppo, and in the sciences, each of the students: Amr Adel Al-Barouki from As-Suwayda, Raneem Raed Zain Al-Din from Latakia, Hadi Habib Ali from Damascus, Hammam Nidal Issa from Lattakia, and Nabil Mohsen Salloum from Tartous.
25 male and female students received silver medals, 43 male and female students received bronze medals, and 23 male and female students received a certificate of appreciation.
The top ten students are allowed to apply directly to the final qualifying exams for the Syrian Scientific Olympiad for tenth graders without passing the qualification exams, according to the authority, which confirmed that the real benefit spread to all participants, given that the experience itself is a scientific gain and an important opportunity for everyone who participated.
