VIDEO. After 12 years of absence, OSS 117 is back in the cinema

2021-08-04T12:46:31.621Z

An old France secret agent on a mission with a young recruit: OSS 117 is back in the theater for a new mission in Kenya.

Nicolas Bedos is not going dead hand: the director takes up the successful parody franchise "OSS 117" with a new opus, "Red alert in black Africa", which attacks racism as well as political correctness by caricature.

In this third opus, 117 is entrusted with a new mission, to help an African leader to put down a rebellion before presidential elections, played in advance.

But Hubert Bonisseur de la Bath is getting a little old: he is joined by the services of an ambitious youngster, OSS 1001 (Pierre Niney).

In this new part of the adventures of the French secret agent, in theaters since today, the comic genius of Jean Dujardin, who embodies him, is intact.

For the third time, the Oscar-winning actor dons the retro costume of the least talented spy in French intelligence and is on the program: jesting stunts, parodies of James Bond scenes and brutal racist protests to be taken to the third degree.

“I like being a secret agent, shooting outdoors, doing my little movie stunts.

OSS, that's it: the content and the form ”, confided to AFP Jean Dujardin, before the presentation of the film at the end of the 74th Cannes Film Festival.
