'Unpresentable', preventive check lists Anti-mafia

(ANSA) - ROME, AUGUST 05 - An important change to the self-regulatory code on the control of electoral lists has been approved by the Anti-Mafia Parliamentary Commission: the text introduces an optional procedure that allows parties and candidates for regional president and mayor to submit to the Commission's checks , in advance, the provisional lists, in order to allow the replacement of candidates who may be deemed "unpresentable". In fact, the results of the checks by the anti-Mafia Commission currently arrive close to the vote, when the lists are already deposited. The novelty of the new self-regulation code on the control of electoral lists was presented by the deputy of the Brothers of Italy Wanda Ferro, co-rapporteur ilsenatore M5S Marco Pellegrini.
