Secret corners in the Banias streams, Iyun and Snir (Photo: Ben Pershitz)

It already seems that there are no quiet corners left in the country, especially in a reality where many hike in the northern streams and there is a feeling that we have already seen it all.

But what is especially wonderful about the Galilee finger area is that the area is blessed with many water sources, such as Nahal Banias, Nahal Snir and Nahal Eyun, and there has always been a beautiful corner to discover and diversify from previous hikes.

In honor of the very hot weekend, we asked Ben Pershitz - who only deals in secret places in the north - to tell us how to get to three points where you will probably be alone. Have you

already been immersed in our springs page?

A corner in Banias on the way to Nabi Yehuda

The Banias River is so familiar that it seems that wherever you go - you will find people. But it turns out that there are several corners along it that no one has yet found. Or at least a person who does not know.

Type in Wise:

"Nabi Yehuda". When driving on Route 918, for those arriving from the south - we will turn right at the "Nabi Yehuda" sign, and we will immediately be able to park the vehicle on the side of the road on the right and notice that between the trees on the left there is a sign for the Banias River. A few seconds walk in the shade will lead us to the magical creek channel, which is immersed in the green of the surrounding vegetation and even enjoys the shade that the trees provide to anyone sitting by the water.

Personal tip 1:

You should arrive about an hour before sunset - both less hot, less crowded and you will also see the sun go down slowly between the trees and plants that surround the corner - an experience that fills batteries and relaxes.

Personal Tip 2:

If the above point is already crowded, continue along the road to Nabi Yehuda - there you will discover more corners that can be parked and from which you can find entrances to the river on the left.

A wonderful corner in Nahal Snir

Although most of it passes through Lebanon, even in our part Nahal Snir (the Hasbani) provides some wonderful corners. Such is the next corner near Beit Hillel.

Type in Wise:

"Beit Hillel". We will cross the settlement along and when we reach its northern corner, just before the electronic yellow gate, we will park on the right in a large dirt plaza (we will notice the sign "Welcome to Moshav Beit Hillel"). We will park and pay attention to the path that starts next to the row of cypresses, we will cross a gate and continue on the path facing south until we notice a gate on the left with the "Columbia Gate" signage.

We will enter at the gate, and at the path junction downhill we will choose to turn left. We will walk between the reeds on both sides of the road for about three minutes until we notice to our right a completely exposed corner, without bushes of the stream and with roots and branches of trees stretching in all directions.

Personal tip:

A perfect place for a picnic with shade and places to sit by the creek with a blanket or mat next to the fickle water noise.

In addition, in the late autumn of our country, around the beginning of December, the whole corner is filled with fallen leaves from the deciduous trees in the place - for the romantics among you.

* Please note: In

the latest update of the Nature and Parks Authority, Nahal Snir was announced in a list of streams that found higher-than-usual pollution samples (from the Roman bridge to the junction with the Jordan), so we currently recommend a picnic along the river in the next beautiful corner. .

Two corners on both sides of the bridge - Nahal Eyun

The stream, known mainly from the Nahal Eyun Reserve, with its many waterfalls and the route, also showcases a beautiful corner that is divided into two, just a moment before the encounter with Nahal Snir.

Type in Wise:

"Yuval Cemetery". Do not worry, this is not the destination, but we will pay attention to those coming from the direction of Kfar Yuval that as soon as we turn right at the cemetery signage - this is the place to park on the side of the road. Just below us we notice a descent down to the captivating corner of the creek, where an ancient stone structure that you can sit on and watch the creek flow in front of us. If the place is already crowded, we will cross the road on foot very carefully on the bridge. We will notice on the other side of the western section of the bridge the path that goes down (south), and half a minute later we will reach the river bank.

Personal tip: In

the southern corner described, there is a fairly strong flow and even a small hole. You can enter carefully and sit on one of the large stones and dip your feet in the water.

For Instagram and photography lovers, the northern corner is without a doubt for you - where the stone structure is visually impressive next to the water.
