Covid: over 20 million infections in Brazil

(ANSA) - SAN PAOLO, 05 AUGUST - Brazil has recorded another 1,175 deaths and 40,716 new cases of Covid-19 in the last 24 hours, according to the National Council of Health Secretaries (Conass).

    With updated data, the South American giant has totaled 559,607 deaths and 20,026,533 infections since the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic.

    According to the Ministry of Health, of the more than 20 million people infected so far, nearly 19 million (18,800,884) have recovered from the disease.
