(ANSA) - BRUSSELS, AUGUST 05 - Green light from the EU Commission for an additional funding of 1.6 billion euros for Italy in the framework of the React-EU program, which strengthens the European cohesion policy by channeling new resources towards the territories most affected by the crisis pandemic.
The new funds will be channeled through the national operational program "Enterprises and Competitiveness" and will support the investments of SMEs for the green and digital transition. React-EU resources will also be used for green measures such as the development of smart grids for energy transmission and distribution and the energy efficiency of public buildings. (HANDLE).
