The Constitutional Council validated this Thursday the draft law enacting the extension of the health pass. Update on all upcoming changes

The government can breathe, the Constitutional Council validated this Thursday evening the extension of the health pass.

As of August 9, the French will have to learn to present their pass regularly, for activities of daily life.

Transport will be no exception to the rule and is also concerned by the obligation to justify his vaccination, his recovery from Covid or a negative test.

However, not all transport is affected by the reform.

The health pass will not be requested in daily transport.

It will not be necessary to present it every day in the subway on the way to work.

Municipal buses are also not affected by the health pass.

Likewise, the pass will not be requested on board regional express trains (TER).

Any long-distance journey is concerned

On the other hand, as soon as one leaves this local transport framework, then the pass is intended to apply.

Thus, it will be essential to board a long-distance coach.

On the rail, you will have to present your health pass before taking a seat in a TGV as well as an Intercités train.

In the air, the sanitary pass will be claimed for all travel, including domestic flights. Air travel to abroad, overseas departments and territories or Corsica were already subject to the health pass. As a reminder, young people aged 12 to 17 are exempt until September 30 from the health pass. Until then, they will not need it to get on a plane or board a train.
