More than three months after the fourfold homicide in a disabled facility in Potsdam, the labor court of the Brandenburg state capital suspended the employee's dismissal protection suit. The 52-year-old suspect is said to have killed four residents of the Oberlinhaus in Potsdam on April 29 and seriously injured a fifth victim. The Oberlinhaus announced her extraordinary dismissal in May, which she defends with a lawsuit. A court has now declared that "the outcome of the criminal proceedings against the plaintiff should first be awaited."
The court assumes "that the results of the investigation will have an impact on the decision."
According to Section 149 of the Code of Civil Procedure, if the investigation into a criminal offense has an impact on the decision, a court can suspend proceedings until the criminal proceedings have been dealt with, it said.
In the proceedings before the labor court, both parties now have the opportunity to appeal within two weeks.
The lawyer of the suspect plaintiff stated on request that he would examine the reasons of the court and then comment.
The woman is now in a psychiatric facility.
