Ten people were stabbed on a commuter train in Tokyo today by a man who was arrested shortly thereafter, local media reported.
Two of the injured are in serious condition, according to public NHK TV, cited by the Guardian.
There is no news on the reasons for the gesture.
The incident took place in the Setagaya area, in the west of the Japanese capital, several kilometers from the sites of the Olympic competitions.
Witnesses said that after the attack, the perpetrator walked into a convenience store saying he was tired of running away.
The owner then called the police, who arrested him.
