(ANSA) - TUNIS, AUG 06 - The former Tunisian premier, Hichem Mechichi, reappeared in public yesterday for the first time, after being torpedoed on 25 July by the President of the Republic, Kais Saied, in the act of presenting the documentation concerning his income from the Tunisian Authority for the fight against corruption (Inlucc). Inlucc herself has documented this by publishing several photos of Mechichi intent on preparing the documentation required by the law that obliges senior Tunisian officials to present their balance sheets to Inlucc.
In the photos Mechichi appears in good health, denying some rumors that the former prime minister would have been abused in the hours immediately following his dismissal. Mechichi himself had announced on social media, on July 26, to accept the decisions taken by the head of state "wishing success to the new government team". (HANDLE).
