Bluebeard Festival, theater, music and meetings in Morgantina

A new festival is born on this fil rouge that brings theater, debate and music to the archaeological park of Morgantina (En).

"A project that we strongly wanted to enhance these unique places in central Sicily: we look to the recovery by welcoming thousands of visitors to whom we can offer more than one opportunity to discover not only the best known destinations, but also sites far from the traditional tourist circuits" underlines the councilor for cultural heritage and Sicilian identity, Alberto Samonà. From 19 August to 4 September, in the two adjacent spaces within the archaeological site, the billboard built by the playwright and director Giuseppe Dipasquale is unrolled, A project born from an idea by Pietrangelo Buttafuoco, "we are talking about heritage, which means investments, producing wealth for the territory. Beauty is not an exercise in erudition, but must be economics ".

Precisely to promote this idea of ​​enhancement and promotion in the area, the Aidone Museum and the Salinas archaeological museum in Palermo have organized a trip to Palermo for just three days for Bluebeard. From 6 to 8 August the Head of Hades will be exhibited at the Salinas, and will be part of the usual tour itinerary. Already this morning many curious visitors flocked to the Museum, which these days travels on 250 tickets a day.

The Bluebeard follows three main lines, music, theater and meetings: two spaces (the theater, with 400 seats, and the ekklesiasterion with 150) that will host the shows. It opens on August 19th with the concert of Lello Analfino & Tinturia and ends on September 4th with the multiethnic Orchestra of Piazza Vittorio. Among the musical events, on August 27, the concert by Roberto Cacciapaglia, with his "Cosmos". On 29 August a tribute to Franco Battiato by Juri Camisasca & Radiodervish. The theatrical program opens on 21 August with Luciano Violante's Clytemnestra, played by Viola Graziosi and directed by Giuseppe Di Pasquale. Then, I Siciliani which recovers the little known but extraordinary figure of the Messina actor, painter and poet Antonio Caldarella; they present it on August 22actor and director Ninni Bruschetta and pianist, composer and conductor Cettina Donato.

The actor Salvo Piparo will be on stage on the 23rd with Un Cuntu per come Dio comanda to tell - with a live introduction by Giuseppe Sottile - Mario Francese, Giovanni Falcone, Paolo Borsellino, Pino Puglisi and Rosario Livatino. Mariano Rigillo will try to grasp The breath of the Gods by immersing himself in the tangible pain of the Trojan women of Seneca, on August 28th. A popular ensemble made up of Mario Incudine, Antonio Vasta and Manfredi Tumminello on August 31 will tell the story of I Mille del ponte, written by Massimiliano Lussana.

Leo Gullotta with Minnazza - myths and pages of Sicily, directed by Fabio Grossi on the music of Germano Mazzocchetti, will anticipate the end of the festival, on 3 September. In fact, the Piazza Vittorio Orchestra will close the show on 4 September. The calendar also includes a series of meetings and presentations hosted in the garden adjacent to the Aidone Museum.
