But these measures, in some situations, were not enough to stem the surge of the epidemic and the fourth wave of Covid-19.
As such, several prefects have taken localized decisions concerning the obligation to wear the mask, in particular in the town centers of coastal municipalities, particularly affected because popular destinations for holidays.
