Tens of thousands of French people are parading in various cities of the country against the extension of the use of the Green Pass. There are at least 37,000 in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region, from Nice to Marseille, about 16,000 in Paris in four marches (according to a police union), 2,500 in Lyon. Protesting various professional categories, yellow vests and no-vaxes, but also people in favor of the vaccine.
"The vaccine must remain a tool among others. People must be left free to choose", or "no to health dictatorship", are some of the slogans.
This weekend is the fourth in a row of protests.
Last time, over 200,000 participants were registered. Today, the police expect more or less the same figure.
In France, the health pass, approved in recent days by the Constitutional Court, will come into force next Monday.
To access bars and restaurants, theaters or fairs, or to make long-distance journeys on trains, planes and buses, it will be necessary to present a certificate of vaccination or recovery from Covid, or a negative test.
